I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
