Online Platforms Reaction Numerous buyers and vendors have taken to social media saying Vinted listings now show a different size category compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification. Vinted explained the new system was more in line with other platforms. It has advised users to review their products and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, which has left users frustrated. Size Classification Updates Before the change, the sizes had both one number and one letter, like S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10. For certain items, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L used to be a 12 but is now a UK 16-18. User Experiences One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted with size 14 tags were displaying on the service as size 20–22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they will likely be quite upset," she stated. Necessary Adjustments A different user, from Derby, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the measurements for "each individual item". "This situation is especially annoying, because of my ongoing medical condition and Vinted sales have been crucial following partial earnings loss," she stated. Marketplace Information The service features exceeding 100 million members, including 18 million in the UK. It has proved a popular alternative versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
